Once upon a time getting advertisements on a website was a herculian task. Only big players get ads from the client. New webmasters and those who have less traffic sites have no scope. The working of google adsense is as follows:
1. Publisher (webmaster) apply for adsense
2. Google verifies the application and either accept or reject it
3. If publisher's request accepted ,he can log in to adsense account and generate a Jave code for his site.
4. The Java code includes Publisher ID of the particular publisher.
5. Webmaster can place the code on his website and google will show ads on his site.

1. Publisher is not required to contact companies for getting ads.
2. Google will show dynamic ads which is relevant to the website content
