Can over optimization hurt my website ? Can I get google penalty for over optimization or for adding more keywords in my website ?

This is the question many webmasters need to get answer. There is a nice video by Matt Cutts which explain whether over optimization may lead to any google penalty. That video is embedded below.




The problem with over usage of keywords on your website is ,it can be treated as keyword spamming by google and other major search engines. Spammy websites usually don't give any value to its users and google knows it. So according to the google policy (give users the best suited result) if your website marked as spammy site, they will reduce the importance your webpage.

Precautions we need to take to avoid any google penalty


1. Use your keyword Intelligently on your website


2. Create content for your readers and not for Search Engine Spiders

3. Use the different variation of keywords on your website

4. Give your readers a friendly atmosphere by avoiding any kind of spamming.

When I opened google ,I surprised with the new google logo -"A falling apple from an apple tree". First I didn't get why this logo (Really nice logo). Then the text popup "Birthday of Sir Isaac Newton" told everything.
