4 Tips to Make Choosing the Best Gas Supplier Easier

It's difficult to imagine living in a home where there's no gas or electricity. Most of our essential appliances require these resources to function. We wouldn't be able to cook our food if we're out of gas. If we're working from home, an extended power outage will prevent us from working, and when we're not working, we do not get paid. That being said, you'll want to choose the best electricity and gas supplier. Here are four good tips.

Search the Web

Whatever you're looking for, you're going to find it on the internet. Gas suppliers are no exception. You can find a few electricity and gas providers on the internet, and they'll list their usual rates. Find a few and you can already make your price comparisons. To be even more productive, look for price-quoting sites. Not only do some of these sites give you quotes, they can sometimes do all the talking for you. You can use these sites to apply for a gas or electricity connection.

Consumer Feedback

You are already on the internet, so check customer feedback while you're at it. See if a particular provider is regularly messing up some customer's lives. Be careful and don't base your decisions on these reviews alone. This is because customers are more likely to leave negative feedback than a positive one. So while you take these reviews into consideration, don't put too much weight on it when making your final choice.

Talk to Suppliers

The price ranges that you find online are often just their standard ones. Since websites are just a form of advertising, it's always best to talk to the suppliers themselves. Similar to how there are special offers that only designated salespeople are authorized to use, you may get to talk to someone who may offer specials and promos that they could not list online. In addition, there's always the possibility that the information you find online is outdated or if there are newer and better offers that didn't make it on the web yet.

Ask the Locals

While some suppliers may be the best throughout the country, there may be better options when you go local. If you've moved, ask the locals where they get their gas from. Most of them can recommend the best in the area. This is also a good chance to meet your new neighbors. At any rate, if you have sought help from a moving company, you can also ask them. Most times, they work with reputable local gas suppliers and can hook you up. If they aren't affiliated with any supplier, they will still be able to recommend a good one.

On a final note, if you're moving, then you will want to arrange electricity and gas connections way before settling in. If you're moving into a brand new house where there were no previous occupants, you have to allow twenty to thirty days before gas can be connected. If moving into a house with a previous occupant, then gas could already be provisioned. If not, at least reconnections don't take too long.

Building Blocks for Virtual Businesses : Key technological systems you must have to succeed in the remote business world

This is a guest post by Ripley Daniels about "Key technological systems you must have to succeed in the remote business world.

Whenever I tell friends I had a tough day at the office, they laugh at me. That's because they know I don't really have an office. I work very hard but I work for a company that is completely remote. Only a few of my co-workers ever go into an office at all and when they do, it's only for short periods of time. Our "office" is a virtual one. To us, the traditional office workplace is a thing of the past, alongside Tyrannosaurus Rex, the slide rule, and telephones where you stick your finger in a hole and turn a dial.
Unfortunately, none of this prevents me from having tough days. I still have them. But the reasons have nothing to do with the fact that my co-workers and I don't have a brick and mortar edifice that we can use to plan, strategize, hold our meetings, make presentations, discuss sensitive business topics, build relatio…

AMOLED display coming to Samsung Galaxy Tab range

This is a guest post by Erica about the arrival of AMOLED display to Samsung Galaxy Tab range.Samsung could be transplanting a seven inch AMOLED screen into an upcoming addition to its Galaxy Tab range of tablet computers.

You may have experienced an AMOLED display in a small portable device before as Samsung, Nokia and HTC have all used them in smartphones to date. However, the expense of producing AMOLED screens has prohibited them from appearing on larger devices like tablets, until now.

The seven inch Galaxy Tab was launched last year but an update with an AMOLED screen would be most welcome, cutting energy consumption and improving colours and contrast ratios across the board.

The rumours about this device state that it will run Android 3.0, feature a three megapixel camera on the rear, a two megapixel snapper on the front and have a display resolution of 1024x600 which is not bad for a device of this size.

The hardware powering the new Galaxy Tab will consist of a 1.2GHz processor w…
