Innovative New Playground Designs

Innovative playgrounds are specifically designed to promote children's learning, physical and social development. But even an innovative playground that offers a high level of safety wouldn't be the same if it didn't incorporate all of the elements that make going to the playground fun.

Examples of Play Equipment That Help Develop Motor Skills

Imagine being a child stepping onto the new playground built in Horsens, Denmark for the first time. Excitement to try out every piece of equipment and then moving onto something else would probably follow. By far, the large COROCORD net located at this playground is the most popular meeting place for children to do multiple exercises and have fun at the same time. Other favorite piece of equipments are the traditional swings and swinging nests which allows close interaction among a group of friends.

New York’s First Interactive Electronic Playground

An impressive playground makeover was completed at Manhattan Plaza on 43rd Street which is home to over 3,500 residents. Badly needing a safer playground for neighborhood children to go to, a partnership between Tiki Recreation (children's program formed by American football star Tiki Barber), Related Affordable and KOMPAN Inc., USA, was formed to build an eco-friendly play setting made from recyclable materials using sustainable practices for Plaza tenants' children to enjoy.

PlayGround Expansion Completed at Reculver Primary School in the UK

The staff and students at Reculver Primary School in the UK wanted to expand their original playground that would encourage high activity levels in a safe outdoor play environment and meet the special needs of children who were visually and/or hearing impaired. This particular consideration ensured that no child with a disability felt left out when playing with their classmates. The new playground was also designed to handle greater amount of play in various types of weather, PE delivery and the creation of multiple skills long term. In fact, the new resource play area has offered more active playtime for students and the school's objective to provide five hours of high quality PE activity everyday.

Playground Fits the Bustling Metro Area of Rotterdam, Netherlands

Rotterdam is a metropolis that is rich in culture, sports activities and nightlife. Unfortunately, play equipment in Rotterdam often fell prey to vandalism. In spite of various challenges, a Nike and KOMPAN collaboration was able to fulfill the city council's and the people living in this neighbourhood's expectations by providing a new play area designed for young and older people that centers around motion.

What Makes KOMPAN A Leading Provider of Innovative Playground Equipment

KOMPAN integrates the natural meeting place of children and upgrades it to an eco-friendly, innovative play environment. As the leading provider of customised playgrounds, KOMPAN delivers a digital spectrum of interactive and electronic playground equipment. 5 Common Examples Of Website Design Mistakes by Business Owners

This is a guest post by Sachin about five Common Examples Of Website Design Mistakes by Business Owners . When most business owners think about website design, they think about a brochure online. Online shopping sites are making a lot of money with the use of web-based applications to sell products, collect payments an arrange delivery. The only work left to do is pack and send the boxes. Smart applications can even print out the labels, so the only thing left to do it stick them on the box. Unfortunately, in many cases, websites are replacing people. For those of us left with a job, we can be thankful that many business owners make the following mistakes when it comes to websites and web design.

Don’t have one. This is the first and biggest problem of most business owners when it comes to website design. They think they don’t need one. Who can ever really do with less business? The reason why they have not been getting business from online sources in the past is because they have not …

Building Blocks for Virtual Businesses : Key technological systems you must have to succeed in the remote business world

This is a guest post by Ripley Daniels about "Key technological systems you must have to succeed in the remote business world.

Whenever I tell friends I had a tough day at the office, they laugh at me. That's because they know I don't really have an office. I work very hard but I work for a company that is completely remote. Only a few of my co-workers ever go into an office at all and when they do, it's only for short periods of time. Our "office" is a virtual one. To us, the traditional office workplace is a thing of the past, alongside Tyrannosaurus Rex, the slide rule, and telephones where you stick your finger in a hole and turn a dial.
Unfortunately, none of this prevents me from having tough days. I still have them. But the reasons have nothing to do with the fact that my co-workers and I don't have a brick and mortar edifice that we can use to plan, strategize, hold our meetings, make presentations, discuss sensitive business topics, build relatio…

AMOLED display coming to Samsung Galaxy Tab range

This is a guest post by Erica about the arrival of AMOLED display to Samsung Galaxy Tab range.Samsung could be transplanting a seven inch AMOLED screen into an upcoming addition to its Galaxy Tab range of tablet computers.

You may have experienced an AMOLED display in a small portable device before as Samsung, Nokia and HTC have all used them in smartphones to date. However, the expense of producing AMOLED screens has prohibited them from appearing on larger devices like tablets, until now.

The seven inch Galaxy Tab was launched last year but an update with an AMOLED screen would be most welcome, cutting energy consumption and improving colours and contrast ratios across the board.

The rumours about this device state that it will run Android 3.0, feature a three megapixel camera on the rear, a two megapixel snapper on the front and have a display resolution of 1024x600 which is not bad for a device of this size.

The hardware powering the new Galaxy Tab will consist of a 1.2GHz processor w…

If you're like many people who've yet to make the switch to the almighty smartphone, there are several advantages to having one depending on what you're using it for. These devices can do many things, but not all are created equally as far as phones go.

These digital Swiss army knives possess an astounding number of features that can do anything from balancing your budget to getting the best deal on a product, but you need to ask yourself which features will prove most handy. Smartphones are all about the apps and you need to understand your specific application requirements before setting on any certain phone. If you're a businessperson who's looking to s…
